I’ve closed hundreds of deals…
But nothing has hit me like this moment did.
A couple of weeks ago, I had a life-changing experience in Mexico.
Our 7 Figure Foundation partnered with Homes for Hope to build houses for families.
In two days, we built three homes for families living in shacks with no water.
They were surviving on only $100 a week.
I thought I was giving back, but I was the one who received.
I’ll never forget this one moment…
This trip reminded me that real estate is just a tool.
The real wealth is in impact, legacy, and what we give back.
If you feel called to make that kind of impact, I highly encourage you to check out the 7 Figure Foundation.
You can donate directly, or even join us on a future impact trip to see your giving change lives firsthand.
Catch you later!

Welcome back to the seven Figure Flipping Podcast. I'm your host, Adam Whitney, the CEO of seven Figure flipping and blackjack Real estate. I'm excited about this episode today because I had a literal life changing experience two weeks ago in Mexico, and I wanted to share that with you at seven figure flipping. I think it's important that you guys know we're on a mission to make freedom through real estate accessible to anyone who's willing to put in the work.
00;00;53;28 - 00;01;27;25
Unknown
My hope is that you grow into leaders who transform your lives, create legacy and wealth for your families, and impact your communities. And when you're ready to go bigger, you join me in the seven figure flipping mastermind and we can do business and life together. When I say make impact, that's what I want to talk about today. And there's a lot of stuff on the internet.
00;01;27;28 - 00;02;06;05
Unknown
It's the vice of it's this side or that side, and I think it's empty. I think it's shallow. And I think people take solace in wasting their time on things they can't control, and focusing on things that are not or they can't do, rather than the opportunities that are in front of them. And what I've found over the past five years is that real estate is the absolute most powerful vehicle to rapidly build wealth.
00;02;06;07 - 00;02;37;27
Unknown
That's money that you can make that doesn't exist in any other industry. Between the ability to use leverage to get cash flow, to have tax savings, defer your taxes year over year where you're not paying income taxes, there's no other vehicle like it. And what I found is the moneymaking part of it is a lot easier than you think.
00;02;37;29 - 00;03;07;12
Unknown
It may not happen in a quarter or 12 months, but what you'll accomplish in 3 to 5 years will change the entire trajectory of your family. I know it has mind, and what it's done for me was when I left the United States Marine Corps, I had a plan to work for the government, the intelligence community, and I had spent the last 20 years building skills and getting credentials to do that.
00;03;07;14 - 00;03;41;09
Unknown
But even in the service where I'm dedicated, my life swore oath to defend the Constitution of the United States. The further along you grow in a bureaucracy, the more bureaucratic you realize it is, and you look for places that give you purpose, that allow you to make an impact. And as I've been in the seven figure flipping community since 2020, their values, the impact that they make and it's not words, it's actions.
00;03;41;12 - 00;04;05;20
Unknown
It's not. We want to make an impact. So we donate some money. We want to create legacy. So we show our kids something. We bring our kids with us. Most of these places don't even have families at them. At seven Finger flipping. Our families participate in everything we do and we talk about impact and legacy. We actually do these things to make impact.
00;04;05;22 - 00;04;39;26
Unknown
We didn't just champion a nonprofit, give money to it. The entrepreneurs from within our community built a nonprofit on their own called the Seven Figure Foundation. And the idea behind the foundation was, it's a platform that you can not just give your money, your treasure, but also your time and your talents. And I really love that because they set off to do missions both domestically and abroad.
00;04;39;28 - 00;05;10;07
Unknown
They helped hazard Kentucky after the storms, North Carolina, Asheville after they were ravaged. They bought a van to evacuate people out of Ukraine from schools. And we built houses, homes. The things that we do as real estate investors is infrastructure. So you can donate money to the foundation that allows them to go out and impact people's lives. And it's great to be able to give money to it.
00;05;10;08 - 00;05;41;19

This year, our company, Blackjack Real Estate, has been able to donate about $30,000, which builds two houses for families in South America. And the beginning of September 2025. The seven finger flipping leadership team me, the CEO, our CEO, our events Director and the blackjack leadership team myself, Lindsey, aka the CFO all went to Mexico to build houses and something happened.
00;05;41;19 - 00;06;09;02
Unknown
I couldn't have even imagined. We went down there in partnership with homes for Hope through the seven figure Foundation, and we had real estate investors of different sorts. Some were private lenders, some were house flippers, some were rental buyers, some were real estate agents, and they came from many of them came from the seven finger flipping community. But our impact extends beyond that.
00;06;09;02 - 00;06;40;03
Unknown
We've got Sister communities, a community out in Tampa led by my friend Jamesville, Scarra we've got, military entrepreneur community led by our friend, my friend Dave Perry, called the War Room, and we had three mastermind communities who people felt called to go to Mexico and build houses for people who, frankly, they didn't have a house. And I thought it was crazy.
00;06;40;04 - 00;07;04;27
Unknown
We're going to build a house in two days. They don't have running water there. It's almost akin to building a nice garage. The houses that they're living in are literally just shacks. And I connected with this family. So three separate teams, three houses being built in about a day and a half. We go down there to Tijuana.
00;07;04;29 - 00;07;30;21
Unknown
We get set up at the homes for Hope campus. We drive out to this place where we meet this family, husband and wife. They've got three kids, 12, 17 and 20, and they make about 100 USD a week. And the way that they get a house there is they've got to be able to first purchase land.
00;07;30;23 - 00;08;03;04
Unknown
And the land can range from 15,000 to maybe $35,000. And for them to even qualify for homes for Hope to do it, they've got to save up 800 to $1000 and then finance it at $200 a month. So if they make $100 a week, literally half of their income is just going to the land. The ability to afford and build a quality home would take them decades.
00;08;03;06 - 00;08;25;02
Unknown
So they work their tails off. Totally committed. They. This pastor sells them a plot of land they put. They save up $800 over 13 months. They put, they pay $200 a month. They apply to homes for Hope. They're just praying that they get this opportunity. They're looking for options. They've got a shack on this piece of land.
00;08;25;02 - 00;08;49;00
Unknown
Just plywood, kind of leveled out. There's some electricity. There's no running water. There's no toilets. They use outhouses. And, they have to pay to go to school down there. So you have to make choices. Do I have a do I put my money into a house? New plywood. Get a roof that doesn't leak during the rainy season.
00;08;49;00 - 00;09;11;10
Unknown
How can I do this? Or do I pay to send my kids to school regular school, things that we just have access to? And two weeks before we got down there, this this family was vetted and selected. They did everything they needed to do to get that home. And we show up 30 entrepreneurs excited to make an impact.
00;09;11;12 - 00;09;38;17
Unknown
And we meet this family. They're nervous. You got these crazy Americans there. And but you can see the emotion in their eyes. You can see they're still they still don't quite believe it. And we show up and there's a there's a, slab of concrete they had. And one of their requirements is to prep the land, get the dirt ready, clean it all out.
00;09;38;17 - 00;09;55;01
Unknown
And they do. They find out two weeks before saying they work tirelessly. They got to work seven days a week. The husband drives a taxi. The son works at Walmart stocking shelves. And so the slabs there, we show up in the materials, they're ready to go and we just get to work. And
00;09;55;01 - 00;10;05;26
Unknown
by the end of the first day, we built 80% of the house and we left and we go back to the campus considering what that family might be doing.
00;10;05;29 - 00;10;32;03
Unknown
And the next day we asked them. They sat in that house that entire night praying and crying. They were so grateful. The next day, half of us got to take them to Walmart in the main city of Tijuana, and we had a budget. The budget comes from the donations that were made to the foundation. The budget was $400.
00;10;32;03 - 00;10;50;28
Unknown
That was on a pre prepaid card. The idea is to get them some cleaning supplies, maybe some essential clothes, some undergarments and some food. They never went to Walmart and spent $400 in their lives and never even seen anything like that.
00;10;50;28 - 00;11;00;22
Unknown
And, the mom is being super judicial about what they like pick at Walmart. They're very like, reserved.
00;11;00;28 - 00;11;32;14
Unknown
They're like, not sure what they can and can't get. And, I've got this 12 year old girl with me and. I'm using Google Translate. Her eyes are just lit up. She, the parents and the older kids are, like, scared to get stuff. She's excited. She can't even believe this opportunities in front of her. And, I take her down the toy aisle and I'm like, I don't care what the budget is.
00;11;32;14 - 00;11;56;07
Unknown
We're going to get. We're going to we're going to get some stuff. And I want you to pick out what you want to have. So, you know, she's like, excited about a, like, a Lego, so inconsequential to us. But to her, it's like the biggest thing in the world. And she was excited about Nutella. She gets a nut, she's looking at me.
00;11;56;07 - 00;12;11;26
Unknown
Can I get I'm like, yes, just get it. Put it in the bag, put it in the bag, put it in the bag. And she's excited running around. And, we end up getting them. You know, we make everybody we I bring the, the husband who's embarrassed as won't be the ladies comes with me. I'm like, brother, get some.
00;12;11;26 - 00;12;33;04
Unknown
Get some undergarments, get some clothes. Get everybody some clothes. Get them some cleaning supply. We end up filling up for carts and our company black jackets. Like, we'll cover this. Don't even worry about it. Get as much stuff as we can humanly get, because they're never going to have an opportunity like that. And it's not about the stuff that we give them.
00;12;33;04 - 00;12;55;06
Unknown
It wasn't even about the house after we went, after we went to the store and got them all this stuff. I mean, you can just see the relief on their face, the gratitude that they have. And, we come back and the house is finished while we're gone. It's finished. And they get to see it for the first time.
00;12;55;06 - 00;13;23;19
Unknown
And and it's just this very, emotional event, but we, talking with, the parents and, like, what the house does for them isn't just shelter. It gives them hope and new opportunity. If they hadn't got that house, all their resources would have been committed to shelter and food, and, they would have always been fighting from behind.
00;13;23;21 - 00;14;06;00
Unknown
The opportunity that they have now is their their 17 year old daughter wants to go to school for medicine, become a doctor or nurse, and they won't stop working like they did. In fact, they'll keep doing that. But now, instead of having to worry about shelter, instead of having to worry about all the food, they have an opportunity to allocate their minimal resources to paying for the daughter to go to school, to potentially be a doctor or a nurse, which in and of itself could change the trajectory of their rest of their family, their bloodline, and just their their belief had changed.
00;14;06;02 - 00;14;38;21
Unknown
Their faith was strong. And, the hope was high in that family when we left. I'm certain that I got way more in than they did. And I couldn't help but to think to myself, you know why? Why do I have so much? And they have so little? They're, you know, they're they're good people. They're strong in their faith.
00;14;38;23 - 00;15;05;06
Unknown
They're good parents. The kids are good kids. They just don't have the same opportunities. And it was a blessing for us as, some bigger floating family to go down there and be able to do that with that family. And, it just made me really understand what it means to be a part of the center or flipping community.
00;15;05;08 - 00;15;41;02
Unknown
And when we say we're about abundance, we're about impact and we're about legacy, it's more than words. It's not a marketing tool. It's not a recruitment tool. It's who we are. And that is more meaningful than any dollar you will ever making your business. And that's why not everybody is a great fit for our community, because our community is genuine, authentic cares about impact beyond profits.
00;15;41;02 - 00;16;05;12
Unknown
We already know how to do real estate. We know how to make money. Those are shallow things. Those don't. Those aren't the things that bring quality to your life and prove your life and prove that people's lives around you. It's the impact that you can make. It's not what you can get, but what you can give. It can be as small as a conversation.
00;16;05;14 - 00;16;29;25
Unknown
It can be a donation to a foundation. You can sponsor a kid to join the teenage Tycoon program to change their lives, the trajectory of their lives and create legacy. You can put your own kids in the Teenage Tycoon program and, we live it, we say it and we live it. And I'm grateful to be a part of this community.
00;16;29;27 - 00;17;05;25

I think it's, it's genuinely about changing lives. It's genuinely about creating transformation. And, it's changed my life. It's transformed my life. It's changed the entire direction of what I was going to do with my post military career. And I'm grateful for it. And I'm grateful for this community. And, if you if if you feel called to get involved in your church or in nonprofit organizations, I would strongly encourage you to look at the seven figure foundations.
